This application is an asian-art-UFO definitively unseen before.
Thanks to YOAN PAINT the artist / author allows the user to create her/ his own yoan-artwork ... And in just a few clicks!.

This Angkorian widget of asian arts mixes graphic codes:
on one hand – Issued from Khmer religious-medieval architecture (ie "Hinduized") as well as "contemporary" influences (sophisticated layouts of Sri-Langkan Theravada Buddhist Pali psalms )
on the other hand - external (China, India, Indo-Europe,...) from the pure Khmer culture, but not so distant finally.

YOAN PAINT is able to create hundreds thousands of Yantra combinations, the exact number doubles every time a new graphic component is added.
The diversity of imagery makes us discover amazing cultural and graphic combinations, but this diversity is always ruled by a strong graphical unity, as every PIC is constructed and organized according to a common layout of frameworks and concentric striped circles (chakras, wheels of law).

In this context, the goal of the user is to create, using graphically rich compositions or more sober ones, a personal cosmology combining various Asian religious - even sometimes divinatory (yi-king, zodiac, ...) graphical standards.
This cosmology should therefore present:
- The 4 elements (water, air, earth, fire) distributed on a two-dimensional squared universe
- The fifth element in the heart (core) of the composition simulates a third dimension (height or depth according to the user’s graphical options)
- The movement of the cakra cycles, which can be graphically simple such as dharma-cakra (the wheel of the law initiated by the Buddha during his first sermon) or some, much more complex, such as the 12 monthly successions of the zodiac or the 12 year cycle according to the Chinese astrological system.
So, the user can insert a fourth dimension: time.

TRIMURTI HINDU ANGKOR The Trimurti (Trinity) traditionaly presents, in India in Angkor as well, Siva at the middle, Brahma on his left and Visnu on his right. But today in Cambodia, the most popular picture of Trimurti is the one representing His Majesty Norodom Sihamouni, accompanied by his parents, which is present in almost every house and shop. Cette application est un objet - ou un widgect - artistique tout à fait inédit ou l'artiste/auteur met à la disposition de son public les moyens de créer sa propre oeuvre d'art...
Et ce en quelques clicks.

Yoan Paint mélange des codes graphiques :
d'une part - khmers religieux médiévaux architecturaux (c'est à dire "hindouisés") que "contemporains" (mise en page sophistiquée de psaumes pâlis issus du bouddhisme theravada originaire du Sry Langka)
d'autre part extérieurs (chine, inde, indo europe) à la culture khmere proprement dite, mais fort peu éloignés finalement.
YOAN PAINT permet de créer plusieurs centaines de milliers de combinaisons de yantras, le nombre exact doublant à chaque addition d'une nouvelle composante graphique.

La diversité des images obtenues propose parfois des chocs graphiques et culturels étonnants, mais présentant toujours une unité car construits et organisés selon une trame commune de cadres et de cadrans (cakras, roues de la loi) concentriques...

Le but du jeu devient dans ces conditions de créer tout aussi bien à l'aide de compositions riches graphiquement, ou plus sobres une cosmologie personnelle issue de diverses traditions asiatiques graphiques et religieuses - voire divinatoires.
Cette cosmologie doit théoriquement traduire selon un savant dosage :
- les 4 éléments répartis sur un univers carré en deux dimensions
- le cinquième élément au coeur (core) de la composition restituant la troisième dimension (altitude ou profondeur)
- le mouvement des cakras créant un roulement - pouvant être simple comme le dharmacakra, la roue de la loi déclenchée par le buddha lors de son premier sermon - ou plus complexe les successions mensuelles du zodiak ou par périodes de 12 ans selon l'"astrologie" chinoise.

Une quatrième dimension, le temps est ainsi rajoutée.
